A good safety profile was shown; however, no improvement in the number of affected joints was demonstrated .

Indomethacin has historically been the preferred choice; however, there is no evidence it is more effective than any other NSAID. Intramuscular ketorolac appears to have similar effectiveness.21 Any oral NSAID may be given at the maximal dosage and continued for one to two days after relief of symptoms.
