The study found that one to two servings of cherries per day seemed to confer the maximum benefit.
Montmorency tart cherry skins contain high amounts of antioxidants. Tart cherry juice concentrate appears to be effective at absorbing free radicals. A 2012 study found that drinking any type of cherry juice or ingesting cherries in other forms may reduce the number of gout attacks. Although more studies are needed, the participants’ positive results from this study are promising.
