I could still be drinking JD but are you taking allopurinol daily? Cause if you are, you can sip here and there but if not, watch out! The only alcohol that has shown less risk of triggering gout flares is red wine. I personally have a thing for low end cheddar and red wine, I’d rather die than give that up so I go in and out of dairy free but it contributes to attacks so don’t count it out as a factor.
